PLAN YOUR PATH
Preparation, time and schedule
Before you apply
Ask for a plan for the BBA alone before comparing the extra requirements and costs of the combined route.
Your complete timeline
The accounting BBA develops reporting, analysis and business decision skills. UP separately advertises a combined BBA/MBA route. Ask for a term-by-term plan that includes prerequisites, transfer decisions and application timing.
Plan around the schedule
Discuss recruiting, internships and the timing of upper-division accounting courses.
Application and selection
Ask for a plan for the BBA alone before comparing the extra requirements and costs of the combined route. Check the current first-year or transfer admission requirements and whether the major or practical placement has a separate application.

Questions to take to an advisor
What additional coursework or experience would I need for the current CPA route, and what would each option cost?
- What is included in the written price, and what would I pay separately?
- What support is available if my work schedule, disability accommodations or family responsibilities affect attendance?
Published program length is not a personal completion estimate. Transfer credits, prerequisites, selection and course availability can change the timeline.
After the program
The degree and CPA licensure are separate. Check current education, examination and experience rules for your intended jurisdiction; do not assume a bachelor’s degree alone completes the route.
Cost and outcomes
Published base; complete personal budget still needed
Add program-specific fees, books, tools or supplies, exams, prerequisite study, travel and living expenses to the published base below. Your final cost depends on your course plan and financial aid.
Published tuition or budget base
2026-27 full-time fall/spring tuition is $30,500 per semester for 12 or more credits. Professional tuition adds $160 per BSN nursing credit or $110 per engineering/business or nursing public-health-and-wellness credit. Other fees, books, living costs and summer study are additional, before financial aid.

This related field can combine programs and institutional branches; it is not an exact-program, campus-specific or current starting-pay figure. It is not directly comparable with Census outcomes because the population and dollar year differ.
