PLAN YOUR PATH
Preparation, time and schedule
Before you apply
Review current entry requirements and ask what clinical clearances or supplies are needed.
Your complete timeline
1 year of program study. Allow separately for prerequisite preparation, selection and the clinical start date.
Plan around the schedule
The college describes online classes with evening or weekend labs and limited campus visits. Confirm the schedule for your cohort; this is not fully online.
Application and selection
Ask about the next start and how the certificate can build toward an AAS. Certification exam eligibility and fees should be checked separately.
Details checked September 15, 2026. Confirm current requirements with the provider.
Questions to take to an advisor
How often must I come to Ontario, and where would any clinical experience take place?
- Which required courses or placements are offered only once per year?
- Can you give me a written estimate covering every required term and practical expense?
- Which employment, transfer or licensing requirements remain after this award?
Published program length is not a personal completion estimate. Transfer credits, prerequisites, selection and course availability can change the timeline.
After the program
Certificate study can combine clinical and office skills with an externship. Confirm the certification employers request and the tasks the training covers. This is not the same role as a nurse.
