Three useful next steps
Review Pre-MIT with an advisor ↗
Ask how completed courses, transfer credit and MIT 103 fit your prerequisite plan.
Check the next selection cycle ↗
Read the separate requirements and ask when the next application opens.
Plan the externship year ↗
Ask how full-time shifts, location and housing would affect your schedule and budget.
PLAN YOUR PATH
Preparation, time and schedule
Before you apply
Complete the Pre-Medical Imaging Technology curriculum, including anatomy/physiology, chemistry, math, medical terminology and MIT 103. MIT 103 is through Oregon Tech. Posted selection rules require a 2.95 weighted GPA minimum for consideration and prerequisite completion by spring of the application year. Pre-MIT entry is not radiologic-science admission.
Your complete timeline
The bachelor's route progresses from prerequisites to a separately selected professional program, with an 11-month full-time externship in the final year. Ask for your complete plan; prior credits and selection timing affect your finish date.
Plan around the schedule
Campus study is in Klamath Falls; externship placements may be outside your home region or Oregon. Confirm shifts, relocation and housing needs. The program page also carries an MRI-course availability notice; check which advanced-modality courses your cohort can take.
Application and selection
The selection page says fall 2026 applications are closed. A later intake window was not confirmed here. Check the next cycle with the program; a university application does not secure a professional-program seat.

Questions to take to an advisor
How do pre-MIT admission, program selection and externship placement affect my timeline?
- When is the next intake, and which of my credits apply?
- Where could I be placed for the 11-month externship?
- What is the current full cost, including externship living expenses?
Published program length is not a personal completion estimate. Transfer credits, prerequisites, selection and course availability can change the timeline.
After the program
Oregon Tech describes ARRT radiography-exam eligibility after successful program and externship completion. Earning the degree, passing the exam and obtaining any required state license are distinct steps. Confirm current rules for the state where you want to work.
Cost and outcomes
Published tuition; additional costs apply
Request a term-by-term quote. The campus tuition page reviewed still labels its annual base-rate table 2025-2026; do not use it as a current radiologic-science total. Ask about program-specific tuition and fees, clearances, equipment, registry exams, licensing and externship travel or housing.
Published tuition or budget base
2026-27 resident campus tuition for this differential-rate major is $361.04 per credit, before mandatory and course fees. New and transfer campus students also pay a one-time $350 matriculation fee. Online and nonresident rates differ; add books, equipment, placement travel and living expenses.
