Three useful next steps

  1. Review the exact program ↗

Match the award and location to the route you want.

  2. Check preparation and timing ↗

Ask for a personal course plan and the next admission steps.

  3. Build your full budget ↗

Include required charges, travel and living expenses.

PLAN YOUR PATH

Preparation, time and schedule

Before you apply

Ask where your mathematics and programming background places you in the first course sequence.

Your complete timeline

The BS offers cybersecurity and artificial intelligence/data science concentrations. Its introductory programming course lists high-school algebra or equivalent as preparation. Ask for a term-by-term plan that includes prerequisites, transfer decisions and application timing.

120 semester credits minimum for the traditional undergraduate degree; nursing and other major sequences must also be completed. Official degree requirements ↗ · Checked September 16, 2026

Plan around the schedule

Allow time for team development work outside class; check which concentration courses run in your intended terms.

Application and selection

Ask where your mathematics and programming background places you in the first course sequence. Check the current first-year or transfer admission requirements and whether the major or practical placement has a separate application.

Details checked September 15, 2026. Confirm current requirements with the provider.

Questions to take to an advisor

Which concentration and project sequence best fits the software work I want to demonstrate?

  • What is included in the written price, and what would I pay separately?
  • What support is available if my work schedule, disability accommodations or family responsibilities affect attendance?

Published program length is not a personal completion estimate. Transfer credits, prerequisites, selection and course availability can change the timeline.

After the program

A computing degree can build relevant skills, but hiring also depends on projects, technical practice and experience. A concentration alone does not establish readiness for every specialist role.

Cost and outcomes

George Fox University · Computer and Information Sciences, General (CIP 11.01) · Bachelor's Degree. Cohort: 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic-year completers; earnings measured in 2022 and 2023.

College Scorecard covers federally aided completers who were working and not enrolled. This related field can combine programs and institutional branches; it is not an exact-program, campus-specific or current starting-pay figure. It is not directly comparable with Census outcomes because the population and dollar year differ.
