PLAN YOUR PATH
Preparation, time and schedule
Before you apply
Arrange the two required in-person practica with the program; ask about site approval and screening before assuming you can use your workplace.
Your complete timeline
180 quarter credits · 4-year example. Prior credits, prerequisite placement and course availability can change your personal completion date.
Plan around the schedule
Online coursework still includes two local, in-person teaching practica. Confirm a feasible placement, supervision and attendance schedule.
Application and selection
Request an official transfer-credit evaluation and an individual degree plan. The advertised maximum transfer allowance is not a guarantee that all your credits will meet major requirements.
Details checked September 15, 2026. Confirm current requirements with the provider.
Questions to take to an advisor
Can I complete both practica near home, and how do placement hours fit around my job?
- Which required courses or placements are offered only once per year?
- Can you give me a written estimate covering every required term and practical expense?
- Which employment, transfer or licensing requirements remain after this award?
Published program length is not a personal completion estimate. Transfer credits, prerequisites, selection and course availability can change the timeline.
After the program
EOU describes this as a non-licensure degree. A separate approved route is needed if your goal requires a teaching license.
