PLAN YOUR PATH
Preparation, time and schedule
Before you apply
Bring any agricultural, business or science coursework to an advisor for transfer review. Identify whether your interest is production, an agricultural service business or another enterprise.
Your complete timeline
4-year example · transfer pathways available. Prior credits, prerequisite placement and course availability can change your personal completion date.
Plan around the schedule
The current program page identifies this as in-person study in La Grande. Ask how applied projects and seasonal agricultural work fit the class schedule.
Application and selection
Compare the BA, BS and BAS requirements with your existing preparation; they are alternative degree routes, not three separately counted profiles.

Questions to take to an advisor
What practical experience would help me assess the risks and finances of an agricultural business?
- Which required courses or placements are offered only once per year?
- Can you give me a written estimate covering every required term and practical expense?
- Which employment, transfer or licensing requirements remain after this award?
Published program length is not a personal completion estimate. Transfer credits, prerequisites, selection and course availability can change the timeline.
After the program
An agriculture-business degree builds a foundation. Running a farm or business also takes experience, resources and a viable plan; it does not guarantee business income.
