DECISION GUIDE 01
Five questions before you enroll
Make the full commitment visible before you say yes.
What will I be able to do with this credential?
Start with a role or next educational step. Ask whether the program meets licensing requirements where you want to work. A program description alone does not establish eligibility for a license.
When could I actually finish?
Include prerequisites, the application cycle, any selection process and the schedule after admission. Ask what happens if a required course fills up or you study part-time.
What is the full cost for someone like me?
Ask for tuition, required fees, books, tools, exams, travel and living costs. Compare the same time period and living arrangement. Subtract grants and scholarships; keep loans separate because they must be repaid.
Can I make the schedule work?
Ask about labs, clinical placements, practicum hours, evening classes and work expectations. Online courses may still require scheduled meetings or in-person practical work.
What support will help me keep going?
Ask about tutoring, accessibility, childcare, emergency aid, advising and belonging. A good option has to fit your life as well as your interests.
